In 2012, Food Network Star and restauranteur Chad Rosenthal and Philly BBQ pioneer Chris McHugh (who successfully launched the California-bred Baby Blues BBQ in University City) teamed up to bring Memphis-style BBQ to Ambler, PA, and The Lucky Well was born. Since opening its doors, The Lucky Well has been serving up the best Memphis-style ribs, brisket, smoked wings and side dishes one can find north of the Mason Dixon line. With this new location in Warrington, Chad is thrilled to be bringing his signature BBQ to a new community and expanding his brand for all to enjoy!
While Chad's love and long-time study of BBQ is the heart and soul of the restaurant, The Lucky Well is so much more. Creative, seasonal comfort food, a full-service whiskey bar and a live blues lounge keep its happy guests coming back time and time again. The bar at The Lucky Well features a top-shelf whiskey collection, which compliment the flavors coming out of the kitchen, along with craft-brewed beers and scratch-made classic cocktails.
This Philly native eats, breathes, sleeps and creates all things food and especially barbecue. A self taught chef who has been in the kitchen since age five, Chad found his calling in the world of barbecue, having won a series of competitions and events over the last 15 years. He is also a successful restaurateur, having opened a handful of BBQ, Comfort Food and Vietnamese restaurants in the Philadelphia area, including fan favorites The Lucky Well and Bánh Street.
Most recently Chad was cast on Season 9 of Food Network Star and returned as a fan Favorite in Season 10. He was a finalist on Chopped Grill Masters Napa and is currently in development on several new TV concepts. Chad is constantly on the hunt for new flavors and inspirations and loves to combine Asian cuisine with American BBQ.
